Going for a second fake celebrity death this weekend, the latest rumor to grip the internet has rapper Lil Wayne being shot dead.
As reported previously, while the death reports seem to populate more among music celebrities, an upswing lately is coming in fake film star deaths. Also, cause of fake death reports have changed. There has been also a recent rise of fake foreign hotel room stories.
The rumor, as it was last November, says words to the effect that “Dwayne Carter known by his rap alias of ‘Lil Wayne’ is the latest victim of the notorious feud between the ‘Bloods’ And ‘Crips’. Shortly after performing at the New Orleans Arena, Lil Wayne was involved in an altercation with members of rival gang the ‘Crips’, and brutally shot 6 times with a semi automatic 9mm Smith & Wesson handgun.”
Like the Kat Williams rumor yesterday, the Lil Wayne rumor smells a lot like a 4chan stunt, with people posting to message boards that they’ve heard it on the radio “3 minutes ago.”
Meanwhile,Lil Wayne set to shot Music Video in Sept. CELEBRATION DVD most likely come bundled with the cd.CELEBRATION VIDEO shot in ITALY features fans. Lil Wayne has agreed to collabo with Madonna for Revolver and to appear in a video for the singers last contractual Warner Bros.
