Steven Tyler Fall Off Stage
Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler was taken to the hospital Wednesday night after falling from the stage during a concert in South Dakota.
The rocker fell off the stage in Sturgis, South Dakota while his band was performing “Love in an Elevator,” the Rapid City Journal reports.
Tyler suffered minor head and neck injuries and a shoulder injury, but it wasn’t immediately clear how serious that was.
Tyler was taken backstage and around 12:15 a.m., Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry came out to tell the audience Tyler was being taken to the hospital and that the show would not go on.
Rapid City Regional Hospital coordinator Rod Brandhagen initially told that Tyler was on his way there early Thursday. He later declined to give any additional details.
Fans were disappointed the concert was cut short but hoped Tyler was OK.
